Customiser
With all of it's off-road prowess and versatility, the Vagabond frameset makes an excellent base to build your ideal adventure bike.
Significantly updated geometry, massive tyre clearance and ultra-wide gear ratio compatibility create a modern take on monstercross garage builds of old.
Highlights:
- Adventurous Axles: With a 148 x 12mm rear axle, the Vagabond opens up compatibility with wide ratio MTB drivetrains. The front axle stays at 100 x 12mm as the Vagabond is compatible with 40mm gravel suspension forks.
- Big Volume Galore: Clearance for 2.35" mountainbike tyres, the possibilities are endless. Volumous gravel tyres or chunkier options make the Vagabond the ideal base.
- Accessorise: With dropper post compatibility, refined mounting points for cages, racks & bags and internal dynamo routing, the Vagabond can keep a clean aesthetic or be accesorised to-the-hilt.
- Thor's Hammer: Our double-butted, cold-drawn, seamless, Mjolnir chromoly tubeset forms the bedrock of the Vagabond's incredibly durable and sublimely comfortable frame.
Vagabond (væɡ.ə.bɒnd) n. one who wanders from place to place.
Monstercross, gravel plus, whatever you want to call it, riding a Vagabond is a grin inducing experience that doesn’t require a label. Equally at home on rough trails, unknown portions of the map and bike packing trips, it is unashamedly a go-anywhere bicycle.
Monsterous Updates
The all new Vagabond truly is all new. A ground up refresh to bring monstercross fun to go-anywhere versatility and comfort. Longer, higher, slacker is the order of the day.
Big Clearance
With tyre clearance for full-fat 2.35" mountain bike tyres, the Vagabond evolves into a fun, modern, monstercross machine. Every model comes equipped with Amplitude G120 tubless-ready wheels with a 35mm internal rim width and pre-installed tubeless tape making setup a doddle. Maxxis Ikon 2.35" tyres have traction covered all year round.
Dropped Stay
A new dropped seat stay design is shared with the Croix De Fer to aid vertical compliance on rough trails. This new rear triangle configuration adds comfort and allows you to stay seated for longer, conserving energy for the fun bits.
Mounts Galore!
With increased frame space comes vast mounting options. The Vagabond can carry an extradinary quantity of bottles. Or, bottle placement can be customised to work efficiently around a frame bag. Anything Cage mounts on the fork legs, top tube mounts and rear rack mounts further expand carrying capacity. If you fill a Vagabond, you've packed too much...
Big Brakes
All complete builds come equipped with 180mm front brake rotors with a 160mm rear. For those venturing into more serious terrain, especailly whilst heavily laden, the Vagabond can be equipped with a 180mm rear rotor as well.
Super Low!
Boost 148mm rear axle spacing helps to enable the clearance for the new wider tyres that fit on the Vagabond. The +3mm chainline required for boost also allows a wide selection of front chainring sizes, from a speed seeking 42T down to a 28T for riding up walls.
Combined with modern wide ratio cassettes, these super-low ratios offer up gradient conquering capability, even with a full load. No excuses!
Wait! There's More...
As "gravel" diversifies further, technology begins to trickle in from mountain bikes as well as skinnier bikes. The Vagabond features a tapered head tube and corrected geometry to accommodate a 40-50mm travel gravel suspension fork. (The rigid fork's axle-crown dimension is 429mm if you're wondering).
Internal routing is already in place for a 31.6mm dropper seatpost.
