Performance, technology and style have always been cornerstones of cycling. We may not compete but we love the feel of a racing bike – an Orca that is light, fast and beautiful. Professional athletes, weekend warriors, Strava hunters and recreational riders all have similar aspirations – we love the machine as much as the lifestyle. Fall for the light, fast and beautiful Orca.
The Orca M30 is a Shimano 105 equipped disc brake carbon road bike whose construction and component choice provides reliable all-round performance for day-to-day riding and weekend epics.
Designed to help keep the rider fresher for longer, the Orbea Orca M30 deftly balances the need for stiffness in the bottom bracket and key areas of the frame, with the requirement for compliance in order to keep you comfortable for all your riding. It's ideally suited to the performance focussed rider looking for stability and agility in real-world conditions.
The marriage of high modulus carbon fibres with 35mm tyre clearance and carefully selected components - like a 15mm riser handlebar to encourage an endurance position - helps deliver the best balance of performance and value while keeping you happy and focussed on your ride, however you enjoy road cycling.
A suite of cable and hose integration adds aerodynamic efficiency while maintaining simple adjustment. This ICR (Internal Cable Routing) is carefully routed along the cleanest and most practical path under the stem and through the head tube, with no rub or rattle, and is optimised for both traditional and electronic shifting systems. Integration is implemented without any impact on practicality. Stem adjustment and handlebar swaps are straightforward, and the cockpit is easy to partially dismantle for travelling with a bike box.
Orca raises expectations. Everyone can benefit from a smoother ride, advanced engineering and aerodynamic advantage. There are integrated controls and components that are sleek, smart and device-enabled. For flexibility and performance, Orca has room for wider rubber. To fit the widest range of riders, unique bar and stem fitting solutions are available - not all of us are seeking the same riding position, we want the fastest bike that fits. Orca is a modern, capable racing bike that excites us to ride exactly the way we like.

OMR Monocoque Carbon Frame
OMR frames add high modulus and high strength fibres to a standard layup to improve stiffness-to-weight ratios. Bladder moulding with EPS forms and PU headtube and bottom bracket inserts stop wrinkling and unconformities in critical zones, allowing less carbon to be used while maintaining strength.
- Lightness: Optimised layups and fewer frame pieces reduces weight. Optimum carbon compaction allows the use of less material. Frame weight (53cm): 1030g.
- Stiffness: Single uniform structures are better optimised to resist deflection. Carbon structures are tuned to deliver maximum stiffness without adding weight.
- Ride quality: Running continuous fibres through and around intersections allows fine-tuning of structures for the best blend of comfort and rigidity.
- Reliability: Eliminating bonded areas increases strength. The lifetime warranty assures your Orbea will be a long-time companion.
The OMR frame targets rounded shapes that improve compliance and reduce weight, making the OMR ideal for riders seeking a smooth and efficient ride quality. The layup and dynamic structure gives a compliance and vibration absorption 5% better that the previous OMR and 10% higher than the current OMX.
In addition, the round 27.2mm seat post is significantly more comfortable than 30.9 or 31.6mm diameter posts, improving smoothness in the saddle without sacrificing frame stiffness at the bottom bracket.
Aero Freeflow fork
Aerodynamic forks are typically designed to perform like aero frame tubes - optimised for directional movement through the wind. But the forward rotation of the spokes and today's wider rims and tyres approaching from behind the fork (against the flow of wind as the wheel spins) creates a high pressure/high drag zone.
Freeflow shapes the fork legs away from this area to reduce pressure and turbulence. Normal directional aerodynamics remain unchanged but the bike gets faster because the airspace inside the Freeflow fork blades is less chaotic.
Geometry
Orca Racing Geometry is born from almost 100 years of designing road racing bikes and is the perfect balance of responsiveness and stability. Angles and dimensions are considered carefully across a range of sizes to put more power to the road with every pedal stroke, and more power means more speed.
Ergonomics
How can ergonomics help you ride further? Unlike a racing position that is focused on aerodynamics, an endurance position results in a bike that is easier to ride and increases stamina. A shorter cockpit and higher handlebar maximise rider comfort - and more comfort means longer and faster rides.
The Orca M30 is, as standard, equipped with the new OC Rise handlebar. This simple and elegant ergonomic solution elevates the tops and drops of the traditional road bar to replicate the geometry of an endurance road bike while retaining the overall frame performance for which Orca is so renowned. Your neck and shoulders can relax a bit more, focusing on a better ride ahead, increasing comfort, stamina and your enjoyable ride time.
Optional flat, non-riser, bar also available at no additional cost.
Integration
Internal Cable Routing is carefully guided along the best path under the stem and through the head tube, with no rub or rattle, and is optimised for both traditional and electronic shifting systems. Proprietary headset spacers smooth airflow and offer easy adjustment. The entire Orbea road line offers this clean solution with OC Integrated stems and cable covers.
Tyre clearance
Modern road riders have discovered the advantages of bigger tyres - a wider tyre inflated to lower pressures can reduce rolling resistance and the added air volume dramatically increases comfort and traction, just like suspension. The Orca M30 has a generous 35mm of clearance for precisely those benefits.
